Pacific Coast Iris
Pacific Coast Iris are evergreen Iris originating from USA.
They require acidic soil which doesn't dry out.In cooler areas they will grow in full sun,in hotter areas a little shade is beneficial.
Planting should take place in autumn and divisions should not be too small but comprising of several rhizomes. Plants should be watered until established.
You can mulch with bark chippings or anything as long as not alkaline.
If needed plants can be grown in containers. As plants set seed easily ,it's worth trying to grow from seed and with luck you will have seedlings in varying colours.
