The turning back of the clock at the end of October,the start of television advertisments for Christmas and of course the shortening days are all reminders that the gardening season is coming to an end.The Iris of Sissinghurst nursery is already thinking of and preparing for 2010.

Work has already begun on preparing plants for next year,Chelsea is of course the premier event and 600 plants have already been potted for the event.The winter season,will it be cold and dry or mild and wet or both?????will generate the usual mood swings on how the Iris are growing.
